Joseph Moyer concentrates his practice in the defense of workers’ compensation claims, representing major employers, insurance carriers, third party administrators and governmental entities throughout Pennsylvania in all aspects of litigation and in the appellate process before the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board and in the appellate courts of Pennsylvania.

For more than two decades, Mr. Moyer has assisted his clients, Fortune 500 companies as well as regional businesses, in reorganizing their risk management approach and evaluating the manner in which workers’ compensation claims are monitored, handled and defended.  In situations where an employer and insurance carrier or third party administrator have disagreed regarding approaches to litigation, Mr. Moyer has bridged their differences and succeeded in developing a team approach to the benefit of all parties involved.

He graduated from Duke Law School where he was a Research Fellow in Workers’ Compensation and International Law.  He earned his undergraduate degree from Dickinson College.

Mr. Moyer is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and York County Bar Associations.  He was a member of the Board of Directors of the York County Bar Association and was honored with their Pro-Bono Service Award.  Among the numerous civic organizations he has served are Hahn Home, Prospectus Associates and the York County Association for Retarded Citizens where he also functioned as legal counsel.

He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of   Pennsylvania and in the courts of Pennsylvania.
